The building culture appraisal of an age reveals itself most clearly by the built environment. We live at the moment in a phase without Building culture.

In the cultural realization lies the life purpose of the person. Cultural striving gives a sense to the human existence.
Inhabit, maintain, respect.

Culture is everything what raises the person in spiritual-mental-moral ways on a higher level of existence.
In the balance between building culture, civil engineering and construction biology lies the desirable entirety and the house culture has leadership claim as a spiritual superstructure.
It is the professional life-work, especially for an architect to create humane conditions for the interplay between external and internal harmony.
The architect should be at the same time Biologist, Doctor, Psychologist, Sociologist, Technician and Artist.

What real house culture or building culture is, can not be caught in words. The Indian philosopher Vivekananda, used 3 word to express this sentiment: good, nice and true.

In modern civil engineering and architecture and living system the unity, the triad of culture, technology and the technology biology got lost. While the civil engineering grows exponentially, construction culture and building biology lead a shadowy existence.

I have nothing against the technology, because I am an architect myself, it is a component of any cultural activity, as long as it adjusts itself and goes parallel to nature, life and culture.
Technology must adapt itself.
And there it is necessary to begin with zero – also in the area of living, where building commenced for decades, not considering health, well-being and dignity of the people.
A construction activity which consciously disregards the basic factors of human life is criminal. It It is more than tragic, that unhealthy construction and living is promoted to us authoritatively and legally.
A construction-biological education in the appropriate educational institutions would be urgently necessary, so that the future architect’s generation can master building biology.

By the industry forced building material quality stamp, which shall make people believe by a blue angel stamp (in Germany) that building materials are healthy-biological is non-sens and unbelievable.
Besides, only the recognized toxic materials were substituted with other materials which also contain dangerous, but the to people unknown substances. The product is at most poor in the level of pollutants, but has not deserved to earn a biological stamp of quality.
